    • Parking and Traveling Around Campus

      • Parking: Please note that no free parking is available on weekdays at UIUC. Unless specified otherwise, you must park at a meter and pay electronically to avoid receiving a ticket. To find parking near our conference areas, view our campus map. We also recommend downloading the MobileMeter as most metered parking does not accept coin payment.

      • MTD Bus on Campus: Our buses on campus are free to use and the exact location of each bus and departure time for any given stop location is in real time via Google Maps. Every intersection and major destination in the community has a unique identifying number, so riders can use text messaging, the internet, or the stationary displays throughout campus to know when to catch the bus.

      • Pedestrian Paths On Campus: Our campus is home to over 50,000 students, faculty and staff. When navigating campus as a pedestrian please be mindful of the following:

        • Even if you legally have the “Right of Way” when encountering vehicular traffic (including bicycles), be observant of your surroundings.

        • A unique pedestrian encounter you may have on campus is the “Scramble” located at the intersection of Green Street and Wright Street. You can cross N-S, E-W, or diagonally only when the pedestrian sign is lit. All vehicular traffic will be stopped.

        • We recommend utilizing Google Maps as a pedestrian to utilize interior sidewalks and paths located on our quads.
