Shout out to our institutional host, Illinois State University, as well as Conference Chair, Brody Broshears, and his conference planning team! We had 200+ attendees from over 40 Illinois colleges and universities!
Congratulations to the following award recipients!
Bill Pritchard from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for winning Best of! His presentation, "Advising withx Care: Supporting Students Through a Trauma-Informed Lens," will go on to represent ILACADA at the NACADA Region 1/5 conference next April in Montreal!
Teri Farr from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for receiving the Dawn Huckelberry 'Busy Bee' Service to ILACADA Award. Her many years of service, dedication, and contributions to ILACADA are integral to who we are as an advising organization.

Title: “What’s Next?”: Career Opportunities & Advancement in Academic Advising Description: Join us for a collaborative discussion about careers in academic advising inspired by a supervisor who always asked, “what’s next?” Academic advising offers a wide range of career opportunities beyond the obvious “Academic Advisor” role. This workshop will explore the varied career paths available within the advising field and provide strategies for navigating one’s advising career progression and future career goals within higher education.
