ILACADA proudly announces an opportunity for our current members: The Speaker Series Grants! There will be a total of three Speaker Series Grants awarded by ILACADA in 2025 for virtual or in-person workshops to serve the professional development needs of member institutions. The due date for submissions is March 28th. Recipients will have until the end of the award year to present on the proposed topic.

Description:

1. Three grants to provide professional development for ILACADA member institutions.

2. This grant is to provide a professional development platform for ILACADA members to develop their presentation and advising skills and to give back professional development opportunities to member institutions.

3. Presentations should be 60-90 minutes in length.

4. Presentation must include promotion of ILACADA to potential new members (e.g., sharing the ILACADA website, discussing member benefits, etc.)

5. Sessions may be conducted virtually or in-person.

6. Each award recipient will receive a stipend that will be issued as reimbursement after completion of the presentation.

a. A presentation delivered virtually will receive a stipend of $150.

b. A presentation delivered in-person will receive a stipend of $300 to offset travel expenses, presentation costs, etc.

7. The presentation can be designed for one or multiple member institutions to serve the institutions' professional development needs.

8. The presenter can include their home institution in the professional development training as long as the presentation also includes another member institution.

Submission Requirements:

a. Abstract of 300-500 words that includes:

· Title of presentation

· details about the topic and preferred modality of presentation, target audience, and target institution

i. NOTE: ILACADA will assist in determining target institution if the recipient prefers. In this instance, a target institution does not need to be included in proposal.

· the impact on the advising community and/or how it connects to one or more of the NACADA Core Values
